A Note From The Owner
When my own business began to grow faster than I anticipated, I was faced with a choice... If I grew my own name then most assuredly the business side of things would have taken me out of the treatment room and into the computer room. However, with my own roots firmly grounded in working with clients directly, I knew this wasn't an option.
And that's when the idea for Rooted River arrived...
What if I could build a place bringing together talented practitioners running their own practice under the same cohesive vision of community?
We could share our expertise and the workload while providing a place for the community to access many forms of healing arts in one venue!
With trepidation, I moved forward, and found this to be true:
Move and the way will open.
Our doors opened in the winter of 2012 and we have been moving ever since! I am ever grateful to the community around us that supports this vision without hesitancy.
This Healing Arts Consortium, this... Rooted River, all past, present and future associates proudly uphold our commitment to your health and well being as we all move together uniquely united.
In Joy & Kindness,

A Natural Way To Better Health
Marianne Hoover M.Ac., L.Ac.
Marianne Hoover is a licensed acupuncturist practicing in downtown Yardley borough. She holds a BS degree from the University of Maryland as well as a Masters Degree in Acupuncture from the Won Institute. She is a past “non-believer” and found acupuncture in the early 90s after years of constant pain. After trying long-term antiinflammatories, muscle relaxers, and injections her pain was getting worse and depression was setting in as a side effect. As a last resort, she tried acupuncture and a new journey began. As the pain and depression subsided, a new love developed. The fascination and awe of this medicine changed the way she was viewing her mind and her body and created a desire to learn more. Now she is sharing this knowledge and skill with her patients so that they too can experience the benefits of a body in balance.
Since 2001 I've worked and continued education in the holistic field, first as a Massage Therapist and then, since 2008, as an Esthetician as well. Soon after I discovered Xtreme Lashes, I was excited to become an advanced stylist in that specialty. All my education through the years brought me different perspectives on how the body works as a whole, from body mechanics, to the condition of skin and hair, to expressed mood, and their effects on health. It all leads me to appreciate the aspects of wellness as they come together. During skin care treatments I look at the skin for information. It's all about body awareness and it is self care that brings us to that. One of my favorite forms of self care is the facial. Seasonal fresh facials with Inner Peace are clean, customized facials minding individual goals and maintenance, current environmental factors and what's fresh in season. These facials embrace seasonal food grade ingredients while the intelligence of nature supports us. I've always loved skin care knowing that pure, nature derived ingredients combined with rejuvenating massage is a powerful combination.
Where massage is considered an Art. Where you are Honored and Appreciated.

Therapy In Presence
As a little girl, my mother and I would visit our neighbor, Mrs. Morell. She was another grandmother in my eyes, as we would often go visit & drink tea, she and my mom would talk for hours. At times when visiting she would ask me if I would massage her neck or back, for she was in pain quite often. I always leapt at the opportunity because I was amazed at her response, she seemed to miraculously feel better! One day after I had worked on her back, she took my little hands in hers, looked directly into my eyes and said, “You have a gift, share this gift with the world.” I remember looking down at my hands and wondering what this gift was… All through growing up I kept her voice in my head, in my heart, often asking: How something so simple as touch could have such a profound effect on our lives. And now, I know. Graduating from The Massage Institute of Natural Therapeutics in 1995, Health Choices Holistic School of Massage in 2008, and Jin Shin Do® Bodymind Acupressure® in 2015 with many trainings and certifications for a total of over 2000 hours of schooling, brings competence, compassion, and presence into each Integrative Massage and Acupressure session. I believe Massage Therapy is an art form. In stillness we can hear the unheard, and in quiet we can say the unsaid. I believe the body knows how to heal, and that in your session you begin to remember what you have always known.
